Simeone: “I'm happy with our second half reaction"
Our coach, Koke and Morata spoke after Saturday’s draw against Sevilla.
Simeone praised our team's reaction after the break following Saturday's 1-1 draw in Seville.
“The first half was evenly-matched. In the second half we made two big changes in Arias and Costa to apply pressure on Sevilla’s defenders. We played very well in the second half and I'm happy with our reaction after the break,” our coach said.
Koke was pleased with the team’s performance despite the draw.
“We deserved to win the game, particularly in the second half. We overcame their goal and we must continue in the same way,” our captain said.
Morata, who scored for the fourth straight match, also shared his thoughts on the clash.
“We played and fought together. It was a good game to watch, both teams were courageous. No stadium is easy, but we must give it our all in every match like we did in the second half,” our striker said.
