Diego Pablo Simeone analyzed the upcoming match against Qarabag, in a pre-match conference. Our coach was accompanied by Saúl.
"I always expect the best from the lads. The team is still growing and competing well," Simeone said. "Tomorrow, like in all of our matches, we need to know what we need to do and play like that from the start."
Simeone praised Qarabag and stated the match will be harder than it looks.
“Even though the rival may seem weak, they played a great first half against Chelsea and Roma struggled to beat them here in Baku,” he said. “From the midfield up, they have some interesting players. Offensively, they play well and have good off-the-ball movements. They play a possession based game.”
Earlier, Saúl said the team is motivated and knows the importance of tomorrow’s match.
“Whenever I put on this shirt, it motivates me. It’s a vital match for us, as if it were a final, and we need the three points,” our midfielder said. “We have to start off strongly, have a good start to the match. They’re going to be motivated and the whole stadium is going to cheer them on.”
