Simeone: "Hopefully tomorrow's game is a nice show"
The Atletico coach spoke to the media to thank them for the hospitality of the people of Azerbaijan.
Diego Pablo Simeone attended the press conference on Monday afternoon as part of the build up to the teams friendly match in Baku on Tuesday (17:00 pm Spanish time) against an Azerbaijani select team. The Argentine coach was appreciative of the warm welcome from the people of Azerbajan since arriving yesterday. "We are very pleased to be here in Azerbaijan, have been well received, with great hospitality and we are living a very nice experience," he said.
The coach spoke of the warm welcome upon arrival in Baku and especially the love shown by the fans towards Arda Turan. "He is a player with a lot of quality and as a person he’s well thought of both here and in Spain," he said.
Simeone wants to offer a great show on Tuesday. "We expect that tomorrow’s game will be a good one and people will enjoy the players that they usually see on television, it will be a nice show and will be enjoyable for all the people who go to the stadium," he said.
The Argentine coach always wants to win, regardless of the opponent and competition. "We will try to do well. Try to win that is what we want and how we like to play. And fot that, the fans will go home much happier. It’s also important that it’s competitive for the home side as it will serve as a great experience looking ahead," he concluded.
