Simeone calls up 19 men for the Las Palmas game
The team worked for an hour and a half to prepare the final details before the game on Saturday at the Estadio de Gran Canaria against UD Las Palmas. Adrian returned to the group after his discomfort in the day yesterday.
Diego Pablo Simeone worked for an hour with his players before traveling to the Canary Islands for the final pre-season friendly match that his side will dispute with Union Deportiva Las Palmas. The main change was the return to the group of Adrian, after training alone yesterday due to a slight strain.
The session began with Oscar Ortega working on agility and coordination with a six station circuit to get the players sharp before the league starts on Sunday the 18th against Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan stadium. Upon completion of the circuits the ball came in to play as they worked on speed and pressure.
The players then had some fun and entertained the crowd at training with a race in teams between the first team players. The winners of the competition were the team made up of Diego Costa, Miranda, Leo Baptistão, Filipe Luis and Mario Suarez.
After the race the players played a game in a confined space, divided into three groups, Juanfran, Miranda, Filipe Luis, Godin, Mario Suarez, Gabi, Arda Turan, Villa, Diego Costa and Koke were separated from the group to work on strategy, while the rest of the team ended the session with some continuous running.
The expedition will travel during Friday evening to face Las Palmas on Saturday in the final pre-season friendly at UD Las Palmas from 20:00 pm (19:00 local time) with 19 men:
Goalkeepers: Courtois and Bounou
