Simeone on Monday praised Lucien Favre's job at the helm of Borussia Dortmund.
"They're in great shape: they are yet to lose in the Bundesliga and the Champions League and are four points clear of Bayern Munich. They are one of the best teams in Europe and are playing spectacular football," our coach claimed.
However, the Argentine said that our team was also in good shape.
"I think the team is doing very well. We're focused on the goals we have ahead of us and on tomorrow's match. We take one game at a time," Simeone said.
Lucas Hernandez also spoke ahead of the game, which will be his 100th appearance with the Atleti shirt if he is to play.
"I'm very happy to reach 100 games with this shirt. I'm very young and still have many matches ahead of me to keep improving and learning from the best," the defender said.
The Frenchman also spoke about the importance of playing at home.
"We know that playing in front of our fans gives us extra strength. We know that they will be the 12th player and that playing with them makes us stronger. We're very motivated and anxious for the game to begin. It will be an important Champions League match," Hernandez said.
