Simeone: “A tough match against a physically strong team”
The Argentine coach spoke to the media ahead of our Champions League clash in Germany.
Diego Pablo Simeone spoke to the media at a press conference ahead of tomorrow's clash against Stuttgart at the MHP Arena, which kicks off at 21:00 CEST.
The Argentine coach reflected on the team's excellent run of results so far and the opponents we will face tomorrow: “They'll quickly forget what they're being praised for and judge us on what they do tomorrow. They are a team with clear ideas, who press man-to-man and defend well when they drop back. We'll have to take the game into areas where we believe we can hurt them.”
Asked about Cristian Romero's absence, the coach believes his importance is clear, “but the team makes all of us better”. “It's always nice to return to places where important things have happened,” he said regarding the club's return to a city that holds an important place in our history.
“Tomorrow will demand the maximum from us. We'll face a tough opponent with tall and strong players,” he said of the German side.
