Sergio Agüero, novelty for the fixture against Athletic
Quique calls up 18 players to take on the Basque side
Atlético de Madrid trained on Saturday morning 29 January behind closed doors at the Majadahonda facilities. It was a session in which Quique Sánchez Flores polished up the final details before facing Athletic de Bilbao. Upon the conclusion of the practice, he released the squad list for the game against the Basque squad. Returning to a team sheet are Agüero, Reyes and Tiago, who have all recovered from their respective injuries. Raúl García, due to suspension, Mario Suárez, due to injury, and Juan Valera, through coach’s decision, have all been left off the list.
