The number of youth player making the first team is growing at Atletico Madrid as players oof great quality and talent are coming through. Diego Pablo Simeone has always focussed on young talents and use them at every training and game. The match against Sevilla ended with a big victory and was also the League debut for Saul Ñiguez.

I am extremely proud to have debuted in the top flight of Spanish football and have contributed to this victory that leaves us very close to achieving our goal," said Saul after entering the field at the Sanchez Pizjuan in the 88th minutes, replacing Koke, another youth team product.

The midfielder was supported by the whole squad. "I've played in other games in the Europa League and the Cup, but this was my debut in the League. All my team mates have supported me and I look forward to demonstrating through my work that they can continue to trust me," he concluded.
