Round of 16 second leg at Old Trafford

Our team will visit 'The Theater of Dreams' in the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16 after a 1-1 draw in the first leg.

Our team returns to compete in the Champions League visiting Manchester United in the game corresponding to the second leg of the Round of 16. The match, which will take place at Old Trafford this Tuesday at 9pm, will determine which team advances to the quarter-finals.

The first leg result was a 1-1 draw at the Wanda Metropolitano. João Félix, for the Red & White side, and Elanga, for the Red Devils, were the scorers in a vibrant game in which neither team could gain an advantage on the scoreboard.

Our team come into the game having beaten Cádiz by 2-1 in the previous league game, extending to four consecutive wins in the local competition. Our team has achieved two wins in the Champions League, winning at the historic San Siro against AC Milan (1-2) and at Do Dragão against Porto (1-3).

Manchester United, who enter the game on the back of a 3-2 win over Tottenham, have been very solid at Old Trafford throughout the competition, taking seven points from a possible nine at home after wins over Villarreal (2-1) and Atalanta (3-2), and only conceding a draw in their 1-1 draw with Young Boys.

This Tuesday's game will be our team's second visit to Old Trafford. The first, which took place on 6 November 1991, ended 1-1. Hughes, for United, and Schuster, for our team, were the scorers in a match that secured Atleti their place in the next round of this extinct competition.
