Atlético de Madrid thrashed a weak Olympiacos in a highly physical match leaded by Mario Mandžukić.

The Champions returned to the banks of the Manzanares and they did it in the best possible way. With the usual atmosphere of the big occasions and with a devoted audience, our team ended their participation in the UEFA Champions League group stage at the Vicente Calderón with a new victory. The balance could not have been better: three wins in three matches with ten goals in favour and none conceded.
The team coached by Diego Pablo Simeone came out very wired and chances were fast to come. In the second breakaway on the right wing by Juanfran, the Spanish player recovered a lost ball by Olympiacos’ goalkeeper to hand Raúl García the first of the night. Our guys continued trying and Mandžukić, from inside the box with his right leg, increased the advantage on the scoreboard before the interval.
The second half began like the first, with a team that sought to give their fans a thrashing and achieved it with a huge superiority in the hands of an inspired Mandžukić. The Croatian completed a great performance with his first hat-trick with the red and white shirt. In his second goal, the most beautiful of the night, got behind the centerfielders and his artistic shot sent the ball to the net. Minutes later, another header to a foul that ended in the far post, closed the scoring in a new magical night at the Vicente Calderón.
