Quique S. Flores is sanctioned with a two-game ban by the Competition Committee
Tiago will miss the match against Levante for receiving his fifth yellow card
On Tuesday 30 November, the Royal Spanish Football Federation’s Competition Committee sanctioned Club Atlético de Madrid Quique Sánchez Flores with a two-match suspension, one for the direct sending off during the course of the encounter against Espanyol and another for unsportsmanlike conduct, in application of article 122 of the RFEF Disciplinary Code. Therefore, the ‘rojiblanco’ manager will not be able to coach his team during the La Liga fixtures that Atlético will play against Levante and Deportivo.
Additionally, Portuguese player Tiago will miss this Saturday’s upcoming match against Levante at Ciudad de Valencia Stadium through suspension, as he received his fifth yellow card of the season in the game against Espanyol at the Vicente Calderón (2-3). The central midfielder was booked in the 50th minute by referee José Antonio Teixeira Vitienes and will miss the next League match.
