Quique Sánchez Flores appeared cautious about his team’s chances after beating Deportivo and assured that “we dream of winning each match. We’re not thinking beyond the next match. This team doesn’t do well with math; counting the numbers doesn’t work well. If we start to do the calculations, surely things won’t go our way. It’s better to work day-to-day.”   The manager of the ‘rojiblanco’ side analyzed the game and said that “whoever thought that we were going to win at the Riazor easily was mistaken. They played with a direct style but couldn’t find the path to victory. We had the match under control. Depor defended as hard as they could and we lacked pace with the ball the entire match. We also lacked depth and I saw my team as less solid, especially in the opening minutes, although we later improved.”   Concerning the current form of Kun Aguero, who scored his ninth goal in seven matches, Quique stated that “he’s playing well, as is the rest of the group. You can tell he’s playing hard and doing a good job of scoring.”   In breaking down the change in the team during the past eleven contests, Quique explained that “it’s always been clear to us that during tough times we had to put our heads down and keep working. We’ve always worked hard and good results boost your confidence. Furthermore, the players we signed in the winter are starting to be important.”
