Atleti gear up to face Athletic Club in a new LaLiga matchday. The Wanda Metropolitano is to host the fantastic clash on Saturday at 9 pm CET. It will be our third consecutive home game which our team will try to use in order to earn three important points.
On paper, the clash will be evenly matched, as both sides have scored and conceded exactly the same amount of goals. However, Simeone’s men have earned three more points than Athletic Club, but it will no doubt be a fantastic game between two teams with top-class players.
We all remember the last home game we played against the Basque side. It was a thriller in which Atleti earned an epic 3-2 win thanks to a last-minute winner from Diego Godín. In our first match against Athletic Club, we won 3-1.
Garitano’s side are very strong and balanced, with fantastic defenders, a powerful midfield that features our legend Raúl García and very talented and fast strikers such as Muniain and Iñaki Williams.
Our team are yet to lose at the Wanda Metropolitano this season, and on Saturday they will look to win in front of the Atleti fans and earn three important points.
