Positional work in the last session in Los Ángeles de San Rafael

The last session in Los Angeles de San Rafael in the preseason after 11 days in the segovian town. Atlético said goodbye to the field that had been their home with a session focusing mainly on ball and positional drills. The physical workload was light in anticipation of the friendly this evening at 21:00 at Alcalá. After this second preseason game, the team will returned to the capital of Spain.
Sergio Asenjo started the session training alone beofre joining in with the rest of the keepers with goalkeeping coach Joan Mesquida. The goalie from Palencia is progressing well on his recovery process.
The players started the session with ball control exercises in pairs before spending much of the session practicing collective movements in defense and attack. Diego Costa and Gabi ended the training practicing penalties.
Salvio, Mario Miranda and Dominguez the last to join up with the squad took part in the session with everyone else. The Brazilian could make his debut this afternoon with the ‘rojiblancos’ at the Virgen del Val.
Training will resume on Monday afternoon in Majadahonda after a day and a half of rest for the players.
