Pellegrini: 'Atlético have a quality squad'
“Getting a draw would be good if we’re unable to win”
Manuel Pellegrini, manager of Málaga, stated at his pre-game press conference that he hopes to earn a good result at the Vicente Calderón, but knows that they’re facing a tough opponent. “We’re in good form and we’re facing a team that is also in good form. The quality of Kun and all of Atlético de Madrid’s players won’t be a surprise to us, but we can’t just focus on Kun Agüero. Atlético re fighting for Europe and have a quality squad,” he commented.
The Chilean coach also hopes to award Málaga’s supporters who travel to Madrid to cheer on their team. “Hopefully there will be a lot of ‘malagueños’. Our fans have always pushed us along and it’s important to be able to count on the support of the people from Málaga. I hope that we can dedicate a win to those who make the sacrifice of making the trip.
