For the first time this preseason, Simeone will have the whole squad available for a friendly.
At 9:05 p.m. CET, we'll face Inter Milan for our final preseason friendly and 2018 International Champions Cup match. The game will be held at the Wanda Metropolitano and will be our first this 2018/19 season at home.
Expectations are high and for the first time this preseason, Diego Pablo Simeone has the whole squad to his disposal. This match will prove important as it's our final test before our season officially kicks-off on the 15th, when we play Real Madrid for the UEFA Super Cup.
Following our stage in Bruneck, Italy, our team has been training hard in Madrid after gaining valuable experience from our draw against VfB Stuttgart and win over Cagliari. New signing, Nikola Kalinic could make his unofficial debut against Inter.
On the other hand, this will be inter's seventh preseason friendly and their final one before their Serie A opener against Sassuolo.
For many, the match will be an emotional one as this will be the first time we face Joao Mirando, since he left our club for Inter back in 2015. Sime Vrsaljko will also have a chance to say goodbye to Atlético supporters at the Wanda Metropolitano.
