MATCH PREVIEW | FC BAYERN - ATLÉTICO DE MADRID

Our 20/21 UCL campaign kicks off at Allianz Arena

Atleti are to face Bayern Munich at 9pm CET on Wednesday in the first Champions League fixture of the season.

Atleti kick off the 2020/21 Champions League season with a massive clash at the Allianz Arena. Simeone’s men are to face Bayern Munich on Wednesday at 9pm CET.

Our team will look to start the European competition in style at the Bavarian stadium, where we qualified for the Champions League final in May 2016.

Two in-form sides will go head to head in what promises to be a fantastic match. Hans-Dieter Flick’s men are the current European champions, having won every game in the competition. They now could become the second club ever to win six trophies in a year. In their last game, they beat Arminia Bielefeld 4-1 away in the Bundesliga.

On the other hand, Atleti are so far unbeaten in LaLiga, in which we also have the best defensive record – having considered just one goal. In fact, thanks to our 2-0 win against Celta at the weekend, we’ve gone unbeaten for the 20th straight league game, equalling our best ever streak from 2017.
