On the hunt for a win in Paris
Atlético de Madrid are looking for their second UCL win of the season when they take on PSG in the French capital.
Atlético de Madrid’s upcoming Champions League fixture sees them up against PSG at the Parc des Princes at 21:00 CET on Wednesday. Diego Pablo Simeone will be without the injured Le Normand, Llorente, Lemar and Azpilicueta for this one. Giménez is also unavailable due to a suspension for accumulating too many bookings. The Rojiblancos go into it off the back of Sunday’s 2-0 victory over US Las Palmas at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano thanks to goals from Giuliano and Sørloth.
Paris Saint-Germain will play their third home game in the league phase. Their record in the competition thus far is one win (1-0 against Girona), one loss (2-0 to Arsenal in London) and a draw (1-1 at home to PSV). Luis Enrique’s side won last time out in Ligue 1, beating RC Lens by a goal to nil thanks – Dembélé the goalscorer.
Polish referee Szymon Marciniak will take charge of the encounter in Paris, with his countrymen Tomasz Listkiewicz and Adam Kupsik as his assistants. Fellow Pole Damian Kos is the game’s fourth official. VAR duty will fall to Tomasz Kwiatkowski, also from Poland, and Englishman David Coote will be his assistant.
