Oltra: “We have a strong morale to be able to come back twice against Atlético”
“They have a great attack and Kun played very well”
José Luis Oltra, head coach of Almería, appeared satisfied with his team’s performance and considered the tie against Atlético de Madrid fair. “You can look at it in two ways. To start, I’m very happy with the way my team played for their pride and their pedigree. You have to have a strong morale to be able to come back twice against Atlético.”
He continued by commenting that “even I had a tough time explaining how we went into the half down 0-1, but we didn’t deserve that. Today we deserved to be ahead on the scoreboard, but were unable to do that. They have a great attack and Kun played very well today. The result is just. We deserved to win in certain stages of the match, but not in other.”
To finish, Oltra believed that the draw will strengthen Almería. “It’s the third straight match without losing and we’re competing well. I think we’ll come out of this strengthened. In the end the point may not be enough because they count for a lot at the end of the season.”
