WITH HIS APPEARANCE AGAINST LIVERPOOL

Oblak made his 500th appearance as the Atlético goalkeeper

The Slovenian shot-stopper is the player with the third-most appearances for our club.

Jan Oblak continues making history and with an appearance in the clash against Liverpool this Wednesday, the Slovenian goalkeeper made his 500th appearance for Atlético de Madrid. Half a thousand appearances that not only make him the player with the third highest number of appearances in our shirt, but also, allow him to close the gap on another legend, Adelardo Rodríguez, who played for the club 553 times. Ahead of both is Koke, who tops the ranking with 700 appearances.

In his 12th year at the club, the Atlético goalkeeper, who made his debut in the match against Olympiakos on 16 September in 2014, has made 373 appearances in LaLiga, 95 in the Champions League, 18 in the Copa del Rey, six in the Europa League, four in the Supercopa de España, three in the FIFA Club World Cup and one in the European Super Cup.

Throughout his time with the club, he has managed to win one Supercopa de España (2014/15), one Europa League (2017/18), an European Super Cup (2018/19) and a League title (2020/21). In addition, he has won six Zamora trophies (2015-16, 2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19, 2020-21, 2024-25). This latest individual achievement is one that no one has achieved as many times as he has (Ramallets and Valdés won it five times), and his record also includes the best goals-conceded ratio in a single season in the history of the competition (0.47% in 2015/16), matched only by Francisco Liaño (1993/94).

Congratulations, Jan!
