NO OTHER GOALKEEPER HAS WON IT MORE

Oblak claims his sixth Zamora Trophy and cements his place in LaLiga history

The Slovenian goalkeeper has surpassed the five titles held by Ramallets and Valdés, with whom he was previously tied, and now stands alone as the keeper who has ended the most seasons with the best goals-conceded-per-game ratio.

For the sixth time in his career, Jan Oblak has been awarded the Zamora Trophy, which recognises the goalkeeper with the best goals-conceded-per-match ratio in LaLiga, provided they have played at least 28 matches and 60 minutes in each of them throughout the season.

The Slovenian, who featured in 36 of our 38 fixtures during the recently concluded 2024/25 campaign, conceded just 30 goals and kept 15 clean sheets.

This marks the fifteenth time in history that an Atlético goalkeeper has earned this accolade, following in the footsteps of Fernando Tabales (1939/40), Marcel Domingo (1948/49), Luis Menéndez (1953/54), Rodri (1970/71), Miguel Reina (1976/77), Abel Resino (1990/91), José Francisco Molina (1995/96), Thibaut Courtois (2012/13 and 2013/14), and Oblak himself (2015/16, 2016/17, 2017/18, 2018/19 and 2020/21).

With this sixth Zamora Trophy, the shot-stopper surpasses both Antoni Ramallets and Víctor Valdés, and no one in LaLiga history has ever claimed as many.
