HE HAS KEPT 96 CLEAN SHEETS

Oblak becomes Atleti goalkeeper with most clean sheets in LaLiga history

The Slovenian has kept clean sheets in over 56% of the league games he’s played.

Jan Oblak has become the Atleti goalkeeper with the most clean sheets in LaLiga history after reaching his 96th during Friday’s clash against Villarreal. He has surpassed the previous record of 95, which belonged to club legend Abel Resino. The Spaniard holds the LaLiga record for the most minutes without conceding a goal (1,275).

The Slovenian has reached this number during his 169th league match at our club, meaning that he has kept clean sheets in over 56% of the games he’s played.

Oblak has won the last four Zamora Trophies, equalling Juan Acuña and Santiago Cañizares’ tally, which constitutes the third best record after Antoni Ramallets and Víctor Valdés’ five titles. The latter was, up until last season, the only goalkeeper to have won four straight Zamora Trophies.
