Nine of our players receive call ups for the World Cup
Diego Costa, Saúl, Koke, Griezmann, Lucas, Godín, Giménez, Filipe Luis and Vrsaljko will represent their countries in the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Nine of our players will represent their countries in the FIFA World Cup in Russia. In total, our club will be represented in five groups (A, B, C, D and E).
Diego Costa, Saúl and Koke will represent Spain. For Costa and Koke this will be their second World Cup, as they played in Brazil in 2014. For Saúl, this will be his first time playing with the Spanish shirt in a World Cup.
The French National Team will count on Griezmann and Lucas. Lucas, yet to make his official debut for France, could play his first official match for ‘Les Bleus’ in Russia. On the other hand, Griezmann will play his second World Cup.
Godin will represent Uruguay for the third time on the world stage, whilst Giménez will play his second World Cup.
Filipe Luis has made one of his dreams come true and will play his first-ever World Cup this summer. Lastly, Vrsaljko will represent Croatia for the second time in a World Cup.
