New edition of ‘El Atleti que viene’
Our CEO, Miguel Ángel Gil, led this meeting together with Carlos Bucero, General Manager of Football, and Óscar Mayo, General Manager of Revenue and Operations, to share the club’s overall vision and its commitment to the challenges of the new season.
The auditorium of the Riyadh Air Metropolitano hosted a new edition of ‘El Atleti que viene’, led by our CEO, Miguel Ángel Gil, accompanied by Carlos Bucero, General Manager of Football, and Óscar Mayo, General Manager of Revenue and Operations. This annual meeting with club employees served to share the organisation’s global vision and to reinforce everyone’s commitment to the goals for the new season.
During the session, the work carried out over the past season and the projects completed were highlighted, while the entire club workforce shared in the challenges of a future defined by enthusiasm and ambition. The event reaffirmed our shared purpose of continuing to drive the club’s growth across all areas, always keeping our fans at the heart of every initiative.
Miguel Ángel Gil opened the session, praising everyone’s efforts to meet the club’s objectives. Our CEO underlined the importance of investing in sporting talent to remain competitive at the highest level and once again emphasised the priority of looking after our fans in a special way. Among the projects currently under way, Miguel Ángel also highlighted the progress being made on the ‘Ciudad del Deporte’.
For his part, Carlos Bucero reviewed the current state of the various departments within the football area and introduced the new appointments strengthening his team: Mateu Alemany, Director of Men’s Professional Football, and Beni Rubido, Director of Women’s Professional Football.
Meanwhile, Óscar Mayo reviewed the 2024/25 season in the Revenue and Operations area, which delivered record figures across several departments of the club. He also highlighted the tremendous support from our fans and the significant improvements made to the stadium, with the introduction of the ‘Sky Ribbon’ as a new landmark feature.
The event concluded with a final address from Miguel Ángel Gil, who shared his vision and issued a challenge with new goals for the exciting season ahead. Our CEO closed the meeting by expressing his “pride in the work you all do. To continue growing, the club needs your effort, your commitment, your enthusiasm and, above all, your passion: a quality that lies at the very heart of this wonderful club. Atleti must keep competing, but always in our own way – in the way we are, the way we live, and the way we feel.”
