Álvaro Morata reached the Kick COVID FIFA20 semifinal, a charity tournament organized by LaLiga North America, Uninterrupted and the Women’s International Champions Cup. It features celebrities and NBA, NFL, LaLiga and NWSL athletes. Our forward teamed up with former Cincinnati Bengals player Chad Johnson, who we had the pleasure to meet during the Atleti Summer Tour. After beating Nyom and Cepela, they lost to Pau Torres and John Collins (2-4 and 1-1) in the semifinal.

The competition began on April 25 and is to finish with the final on Sunday, April 26. The friendly tournament features eight mixed teams with players from different leagues (LaLiga and NFL vs NBA and NWSL, for instance). Each playoff has two rounds that are 12 to 15 minutes long.

The funds raised with this tournament will be used to reduce the impact and help the victims of COVID19 in the US and Spain.

Real Madrid (Fernando Morientes), Real Betis (Borja Iglesias), Sevilla (Munir Hadaddi), Valencia (José Luis Gayà), Villarreal (Pau Torres), Getafe (Allan Nyom) and Real Sociedad (Alexander Isak) from LaLiga also participated in the tournament. The NBA was represented by the Atlanta Hawks (Clint Capela and John Collins) and Charlotte Hornets (Willy Hernángomez), while the NFL featured former player Chad Johnson, as well as Damarious Randal from the Vegas Raiders. The USWNT's Allie Long and freestyler Lisa Zimouche were also involved in the tournament.
