Atleti are ready for a new challenge as Simeone’s men face Eibar in LaLiga’s third match. Our team will look to make it three out of three in the competition following the wins over Getafe and Leganés. The game is to be played at the Wanda Metropolitano on Sunday at 7 pm CET.
Our team earned a hard-fought win against Leganés last week thanks to a Vitolo strike, which tied us with Sevilla in the top spot of the LaLiga rankings. If we beat the Basque side, it will be the second time we win the first three league games of the season under Simeone (the previous time was in 2013/14).
Eibar lost their first match of the season, but earned an away draw against Osasuna in their last game. Paulo Oliveira was the goalscorer.
The last time we faced Mendilíbar’s side was on April 20, when we earned a 1-0 win at Ipurua thanks to a late goal from Lemar.
