The return of the League at the Vicente Calderón after the national teams’ break was great for our team. The red and whites beat Real Sociedad on the 30th round to continue their winning streak.

Simeone’s players took the field intensely and put the match on tracks in just ten minutes. If Arda crashed a right-legged shot on the post when hardly 120 seconds had elapsed, a corner bounced by Koke was then headed to his own goal by Mikel González. The red and whites did not slow down and seven minutes later, Griezmann took advantage of a clearance of Rulli to a shot from Koke to score the second goal.

In the second part, Atlético’s domain continued. However, the advantage achieved in the first half helped our team play with the needed calmness to control the ball with short passes. On 88 minutes, Oblak glided to stop a foul shot by Granero.
