MATCH PREVIEW | ATLÉTICO DE MADRID - LEVANTE

Atleti look to extend positive home streak in first Wanda Metropolitano game of 2019

Our team, which held the best home record of 2018, faces a side against which we're yet to lose at our stadium in LaLiga.

After two tough games at Sevilla and Girona, our team plays the first home match of the year on Sunday at 12 p.m. CET. We will look to extend the positive home streak which gave us the best home record of the current LaLiga season and of 2018.

Simeone's men host Levante, who are yet to win in the league at our stadium (12 wins and two draws for Atleti).

However, besides our positive home record against the Valencian side, Paco López's team are having a good season and are a dangerous rival. They've arrived at Matchday 19 in 10th place, six points above relegation zone and just three points off Europe. Moreover, they're the third LaLiga team who has scored the most goals away from home (15).

It will be a challenge for our defence, which has conceded the least amount of goals in LaLiga (13). In the last game between both sides, played on Apr. 15, Atleti earned a 3-0 win. On that day, Fernando Torres became the fifth top scorer in our club's history, with 127 goals.
