MATCH PREVIEW | ATLÉTICO DE MADRID – BAYERN MUNICH

Massive UCL game at the Wanda Metropolitano

Our team hosts Bayern Munich at 9pm CET on Tuesday with the aim of securing qualification to the Champions League last 16.

Atleti gear up for a massive Champions League game on Tuesday as we host Bayern Munich at 9pm CET on Tuesday. The first and second placed sides in group A meet at the Wanda Metropolitano in what promises to be a thrilling clash. If we win and Lokomotiv Moscow don’t beat Salzburg, we’ll qualify for the last 16.

Our home record against the German club is very positive, having won 1-0 twice. The first time was on April 27, 2016 as Sául netted a worldie in the Champions League semi-finals. The second win came later that year, on Sep. 28, when Carrasco scored the winner.

Both sides are currently enjoying a fantastic streak in the Spanish and German leagues. Atleti are unbeaten in the last 25 LaLiga games, whereas Bayern are the Bundesliga leaders and beat Stuttgart 3-1 away at the weekend.
