Mario Suarez appeared at the press conference prior to the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 fixture against Bayer Leverkusen. Our midfielder stressed the importance of the qualifying round. "Tomorrow we play to qualify for the Champions League quarter-final. It's a very important match and we have to give our all. If I get to play, I'll give my all to help the team." At the same time, Mario assured that the Germans are the favourites due to the result of the first leg. "They are the ones with the advantage. What we have to do tomorrow is go out to win and score the first goal. Our aim is to qualify. And we know that we have to bring all we’ve got. It will be a nice match, we have to give our best version," he said.

Lastly, the player wanted to highlight the always important help of the fans in a match like this. "We know that the fans are very important for us and they are always there in games like this. The fans will be the twelfth player tomorrow. Despite that, the ball is what really counts and tomorrow we’ll have to do the best we can. It’s a round of 16 of the Champions League and Bayer Leverkusen is a great team," he concluded.
