Mario Suárez has an operation to fix dynamic osteopathy of the pubis at the Cemtro Clinic

The central midfielder will be ready for the pre-season

Mario Suárez had surgery on Tuesday, May 31 on dynamic osteopathy of the pubis at the Cemtro Clinic in Madrid. It was a simple operation that lasted around an hour. This will bring an end to the problems suffered by the ‘rojiblanco’ player over the course of the season and which prevented him from being at one-hundred percent.

The operation was performed by doctors Pedro Guillén and Fernando García de Lucas, Medical Director of the Fremap Clinic in Majadahonda. Also present was José María Villalón, Chief of Club Atlético de Madrid Medical Services.

The player will now being his rehabilitation in three days under the supervision of the Cemtro Clinic physical therapists. Later, Óscar Pitillas, the physical trainer of the Atlético de Madrid first squad, will take charge of the recovery. He will complete a series of rehab exercises over the course of the following month in order to get fully fit for July 4, when the ‘rojiblanco’ first squad is called upon to hold camp as they get ready for the 2011-2012 season.

The player, in statements made to the Club’s official web site, said that I’ve had problems all season and I couldn’t continue like that. I don’t mind not having holidays, the most important thing is to be in top shape for the start of the season. They’ve told me that the recovery won’t have complications and I can’t wait to get started.”
