Gregorio Manzano appeared before the media before attending training prior to Wednesday's game against Sporting Gijon. The coach spoke of the injured, todays opponent and has warned his players about the danger they’ll face.   Gregorio Manzano acknowledged Diego's injury 'it will be difficult for him to be ready for this game. As to whether he’ll be ok for Saturday, chances are slim now for that game.”
  When asked about the opponent Sporting Gijon, the Atletico coach was very clear. 'The fact they´ve not picked up a point is a double edged sword. I have the fortune or misfortune to have experienced this situation against Sporting when in charge of Mallorca. I have warned my players of the danger of losing this game.' he said.   The last two victories have triggered euphoria among the red and white fans. Manzano believes that 'I am pleased and happy that our fans are content and happy. If we have to be happy is because the new players who have come have a greater sense of rapport. I do not want to remove the euphoria, joy and optimism of our fans who deserve it, but the games are there to be won. What we have done is done and now comes another game in which we’ll be looking to win again. We already had a surprise on the first day and we cannot drop points against these team.
