Mandzukic will have surgery for a nose fracture

Mario Mandžukić, the Croatian player, suffers a nose fracture (of the nasal bones and cartilage), after the tests he's undergone this Wednesday. He'll be operated on by Dr. Pedro Llopis, a maxillofacial surgeon, this Thursday 18th, at 9:00, at Majadahonda's FREMAP clinic.

Mandžukić was nudged by Olympiacos' player Kasami, on the 3rd minute of the match, was cared for and played the rest of the match with nasal plugs to prevent bleeding. Despite this hard blow, Atlético's striker scored the first goal with a header on 38 minutes and was a constant nightmare for the Greek defenders.
