Lucas and Correa win the III Jesús Gil y Gil Memorial
Atlético de Madrid thus adds the third title in the Jesús Gil y Gil Memorial. Our goals came from the feet of Lucas Hernández and Ángel Correa, who premiered as scorers. Vietto, Carrasco, Savic, Velázquez, Thomas and Bernabé also made their debut, as Correa.

Atlético de Madrid began the pre-season friendlies in El Burgo de Osma, as is the tradition. Our players beat Numancia 2-0 with goals from Lucas Hernández and Angel Correa. The red and whites thus add the third title in the Jesús Gil y Gil Memorial. Up to seven players made their debut: Correa, Vietto, Carrasco, Savic, Velázquez, Thomas and Bernabé.
The goals arrived in the first minute sof the second half. First, Lucas scored from outside the box to a pass by Jesús Gámez. Just a minute later, Correa beat the rival goalkeeper with a low shot. Our guys continued trying, but in the end the scoreboard did not change any more. Our captain Gabi lifted the Jesús Gil y Gil Memorial trophy.
