Looking for another league victory against Dépor on Supporters’ Day
This Saturday at 21:00 CEST, Deportivo visit the Riyadh Air Metropolitano for Matchday 10 of LaLiga. Simeone's side will be looking to make it six consecutive league victories.
This Saturday, we return to our home ground alongside our supporters. Following our draw in Germany in the UEFA Champions League this week, we face Deportivo at 21:00 CEST on Peñas Day.
The Galician side have not visited our stadium since their last season in the top flight in 2017/18. On that occasion, we claimed all three points thanks to a Kevin Gameiro goal.
Last season, we faced the Galician side in the Copa del Rey, travelling to the Estadio Riazor and securing our place in the quarter-finals thanks to a stunning Antoine Griezmann free-kick.
Deportivo head to our stadium after drawing 1-1 at home against Levante, with Nsongo Bil scoring for the Galician side, before suffering a 3-2 away defeat against Real Sociedad, with Mario Soriano and Yeremay on target.
They currently sit ninth in the league table with 11 points. Their squad includes our player José María Giménez, who is spending this season on loan at the Galician club.
Our team head into the fixture on an excellent run of results in LaLiga, which we are looking to extend. Álex Baena is enjoying a fine run of form and was the player who secured victory for us in our last league match against Espanyol. Meanwhile, Julián Alvarez was our goalscorer in Stuttgart.
We have faced Deportivo 107 times throughout our history, winning 55, drawing 26 and losing 26.
