Lokomotiv Moscow, a familiar rival

The Russian club were founded on July 23, 1922 and have won 20 titles. The last 25 years represent the team's most successful period. Since the start of the millennium, they've won 12 titles.
The RZD Stadium seats 28,000 fans and is one of the most emblematic stadiums in Russia. In 2007, we played in their stadium and the match ended 3-3. In the 2017/18 Europa League, we faced the Russian side in the Round of 16. Our team earned a big 8-1 win on aggregate, and we would go on to win the competition. Last season, we beat them 2-0 both in Madrid and Moscow in the Champions League group stage.
