Atleti and Levante drew 1-1 at the Ciutat de Valencia on Wednesday. Llorente scored our goal.

Suárez had the first chance of the game via a header that was wide, but it was the hosts who took the lead through Bardhi. It was hard to take because our team were playing well, applying high pressure and dominating possession. Luis Suárez, Saúl and Correa were close to scoring in the following minutes. We pushed and pushed and eventually found the equaliser as a Llorente strike was deflected into the back of the net. We were close to taking the lead before the break, but we reached half-time at 1-1.

Simeone brought Kondogbia on for Vrsaljko at half-time. We had a massive chance early on as Aitor made a fantastic save to deny Suárez and then Correa missed his shot after getting first to the rebound. Joao Félix returned to action following his COVID-19 recovery and replaced Carrasco after the hour mark. Torreira and Vitolo later came on for Koke and Correa as we continued to push for the winner… which we thought we found through Saúl, but his goal was disallowed for offside. Oblak made an exceptional save in the dying minutes to deny the hosts, and although we pushed until the very end to win it, the game ended 1-1.
