PREVIEW | ATLETI-INTER

Let's go for the comeback!

The Cívitas Metropolitano hosts the second leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 game this Wednesday at 9pm CET, in which our team must overturn a 1-0 first leg deficit to stay alive in the competition.

Simeone's men have a new opportunity to turn a tie around, this time in the UEFA Champions League and against the reigning runners-up of the competition, after the 1-0 defeat at the Giuseppe Meazza three weeks ago. As of 9pm CET on Wednesday 13 March, we return to our home in search of a result that will see us through to the next quarter-final draw.

Our team has not lost at the Cívitas Metropolitano in the Champions League since 24 November 2021, when we lost 0-1 to the other Milan team, AC Milan. Since then, teams like Manchester United, Oporto, Lazio or Manchester City have played in the Champions League, all of them without winning here.

In the direct duel, we have only played Inter twice. The last precedent was, obviously, the first match of the current tie, while the first and only previous meeting was the European Super Cup final in 2010, which ended in a Red & White win by 2-0 after the goals from Reyes and Agüero.
