Leicester City: A dream debut in the Champions League
The Foxes come from eliminating Sevilla FC in the last 16.
Leicester City, new champion of the 2015/2016 English Premier League will be our rival in the next knockout round of the UEFA Champions League, in which the Foxes have reinforced the credentials that led them to win their national league, in what is unanimously considered to be one of the greatest deeds in the history of football.
In the season of their debut in the continental showpiece, the English team has won all the matches they have played at home, having beaten Porto, Copenhagen and Club Brugge in the first stage and Sevilla FC in the last 16. A round in which they were leaders of group G and beat the reigning three-time champion of the UEFA Europa League.
Last season, Leicester keeps its vertebral column almost intact, except the very noticeable loss of the French midfielder N'Golo Kanté, who signed for Chelsea in summer. That means the can still rely on football players such as Riyad Mahrez, Jamie Vardy, Danny Drinkwater or the goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel, key in the match against Sevilla thanks to the two penalties he saved.
