Laudrup: “I’m happy with my players’ work”

“In general, I think that we played well”

The manager of RCD Mallorca, Michael Laudrup, commented at his post-game press conference, after his team lost to Atlético de Madrid, that “what hurts the most is losing a match like that when we played well. When you lose 3-0 it’s tough to be happy, but I’m happy with my players. I think that they played really well and gave their all.

Atlético de Madrid scored on their first attack. The penalty was a pity. I sincerely think that we could have leveled if we had scored there, but we can’t continue to think about it,”
asserted the Danish coach.

To finish, Laudrup said that “we had chances to score and the clearest one was the penalty. We enjoyed at least five clear scoring chances and so there’s not a whole lot to say. My players gave everything they have, and that’s why it’s a pity to leave with a loss, but we already know that if you don’t score, you can’t win.”
