Following our 1-1 draw at Mestalla last Monday, LaLiga is back and we’re going to host Rayo Vallecano at the Wanda Metropolitano. Kick-off is set for 8:15 p.m. CET.
Since the night we said goodbye to Fernando Torres and the 2017/18 season, this will be our first official match of the new season at the Wanda Metropolitano. It will also be Rayo Vallecano’s first time playing in our stadium, since they were playing in LaLiga 123 last season and were just promoted. Rayo are also located in Madrid, so this match can be classified as a Madrid derby and it’s the first one of the season.
Our boys will give it their all to get the win to give our fans at the Wanda Metropolitano a thank you present. Also, following the match, our players will come out to the pitch with the UEFA Super Cup we won in Tallinn.
Despite Rayo’s heavy loss in their league opener against Sevilla, Diego Pablo Someone expects a tough match.
"The most complicated thing is tomorrow’s match and we need to win. We need to play in a way we can cause difficulties for Rayo Vallecano."
