Kun and Tiago rejoin the group work on Tuesday

Eight reserve squad players work under the orders of Quique S. Flores

Atlético de Madrid continued to get ready for this coming Saturday’s match against Valencia. Quique Sánchez Flores’ lads trained with the absence of the international players, who are with their respective national teams. Also missing was Ujfalusi, who was in his home country collecting the award granted him by the Czech Federation as third best player of his nation.

The positive news was the return to the group of Tiago and Kun Agüero, who had worked out apart from the group in the first session of the week, in a practice that lasted almost two hours and was held behind closed hours. Taking part in the training were reserve squad players César, Atienza, Regalón, Javi Cantero, Míchel, Iago, Celso and Sito.

The training session began with some ball possession games. Then the squad was divided into two groups. While one group completed a physical circuit with finishing, the other played a small-sided game on a small pitch. Afterwards, the two groups switched exercises and, to finish, the training ended with a practice match across the width of the playing field.
