HE'S PLAYED 362 MATCHES FOR OUR CLUB

Koke surpasses Quique Ramos and Alberto Fernández

Koke joined our club in 2000 and at just 26 years old (two months and 28 days) he’s become the youngest player to reach this historic mark in our club’s history

Last weekend, Koke played his 361st match for Atlético de Madrid in our win against Deportivo de La Coruña in the Wanda Metropolitano and became the 10th player with most appearances for our club, tied with Quique Ramos and Alberto Fernández.

On Thursday’s UEFA Europa League quarter-final clash against Sporting CP, our midfielder surpassed Ramos and Fernández to take the number 10 spot all for himself. In the 22nd second of the match, he scored the first goal of the night.  An academy youth product, Koke joined our club in 2000 and at just 26 years old (two months and 28 days) he’s become the youngest player to reach this historic mark in our club’s history.

Koke made his debut for our club on 19 September 2009 and has since then defended our colours in 247 league matches, 49 UEFA Champions League matches, 36 in the Copa del Rey, 25 in the Europa League, four in the Spanish Super Cup and once in the UEFA Super Cup.

In total, he’s scored 33 times and has given 88 assists. Koke has won one Europa League, one UEFA Super Cup, one Copa del Rey, one LaLiga title and one Spanish Super Cup.
