Koke reaches 450 Atleti matches
Our captain reached the milestone during Tuesday’s LaLiga game at La Nucía.
Jorge Resurrección ‘Koke’ on Tuesday played his 450th match for Atleti. Our captain, who made his debut on Sep. 19, 2009 against Barcelona, played the full game as we earned a 1-0 win at Levante.
The 28-year-old is the youngest player in our club’s history to reach 450 matches. Only four club legends have played more games than him: Adelardo Rodríguez (553), Tomás Reñones (483), Enrique Collar (470) and Carlos Aguilera (456).
Our captain has played 311 matches in LaLiga, 39 in the Copa del Rey, 64 in the Champions League, 29 in the Europa League, five in the Spanish Super Cup and two in the UEFA Super Cup. He has netted 43 goals and one won LaLiga title, one Copa del Rey, one Spanish Super Cup, two Europa League trophies and two UEFA Super Cups.
Well done, captain!
