Koke, Five Stars Player of October
The home-grown player excelled in the three League matches the team played this past month. He was the most appreciated in the defeat in Valencia (3-1) and the second most voted in the win in Getafe (0-1).
Koke does not stop accumulating recognitions. His superb start to the season has made him a regular in our starting 11 and in being called up for the national team. This morning, the home-grown player received the Five Stars Player award, which recognises the best player in the team for the month of October. After receiving the award, we spoke to him about the current state of the team.
This trophy, launched by Mahou and the Club, is awarded monthly to the most voted player by the Atlético tweeters after the League matches. Koke took the honour over from Joao Miranda, who was awarded in the month of September.
Our home-grown player earned the most votes after the 3-1 loss in Valencia and the second, only behind Mandzukic, in the away win in Getafe. In the other League match of the month against Espanyol, Godín was the most voted player by our fans.
