Koke equals Aguilera as fourth player with most games in Atleti history
Our captain equalled Carlos Aguilera’s tally (456) during Sunday’s match against Real Sociedad. Only Adelardo, Tomás and Collar remain ahead of him.
Jorge Resurrección 'Koke' made his 456th appearance for Atleti during Sunday’s fixture against Real Sociedad at the Wanda Metropolitano. Our captain has equalled club legend Carlos Aguilera as the fourth player with the most games in Atleti’s history.
Aguilera played for our club between 1988 and 1993 and from 1996 to 2005. Now, only three legends remain ahead of Koke: Adelardo Rodríguez (553 matches), Tomás Reñones (483) and Enrique Collar (470).
During his 11 seasons at Atleti, our captain has won seven titles (two Europa Leagues, two UEFA Super Cups, one LaLiga, one Copa del Rey and one Spanish Super Cup).
