HE MADE HIS DEBUT IN 2009

Koke defends our kit for the 250th time in LaLiga

At the beginning of April 2018, he surpassed Quique Ramos and Alberto Fernández to become the 10th player.

Koke doesn't stop making history for Atlético de Madrid and he has left his mark in the Atlético history book numerous times. On Thursday's match against Real Sociedad, Koke defended our colours for the 250th time in LaLiga.

An academy youth product, Koke joined our club in 2000 and rose through the ranks until he made his debut in 2009 in the Camp Nou. Since then, he's captained our side and won one Europa League, one UEFA Super Cup, one Copa del Rey, one LaLiga title and one Spanish Super Cup.

His 100th league match came in 2014 against Rayo Vallecano and just three years later, he reached the illustrious mark of 200 league matches for Atlético de Madrid in Ipurua against Eibar.

At the beginning of April 2018, he surpassed Quique Ramos and Alberto Fernández to become the 10th player with most appearances for our club at just 26 years old.
