With three match days remaining, four teams are in the race for LaLiga, but only Atleti depend on themselves to win the competition.
Our team arrive at the midweek fixture as the league leaders, following our goalless draw at the Camp Nou. On the other hand, Real Sociedad beat Elche 2-0 at the weekend and are fifth in the LaLiga standings with 56 points.
The race for the title is extremely tight, and so is the fight for the Europa League spots. It will therefore be a hard-fought match between both sides that need to pick up the three points. In the reverse fixture, we won 2-0 in San Sebastián thanks to the goals from Llorente and Hermoso.
Simeone’s men are unbeaten in the last seven home games against Real Sociedad – having won six and drawn one and keeping five clean sheets in the process.
