The fixture kicked off with an early goal that revolutionized the match. Fernando Torres received a long ball from Siqueira to swerve Mascherano and beat Ter Stegen with an angled shot. Nine minutes later, Neymar equallized the scoreboard after a counterattack led by Luis Suárez. On 30', Gil Manzano whistled a penalty in Barcelona’s box that served for Raúl García to put us ahead again. The advantage would not last much longer, since on 38' Miranda could not avoid putting the ball into his own goal out of a corner. With the game running at a frantic pace, Neymar scored the second goal in his personal account to sentence the qualifying round. In the previous play, the Calderón had requested a penalty for a hand by Jordi Alba.
