Diego Pablo Simeone takes time to talk to his compatriot. "El Cholo always speaks to me, tells me to be patient but he did not have to say anything, I know what I have to do. I have to fight every day to earn my place. I have to take every opportunity they give me to continue growing in this team," he said.
The Sanchez Pizjuan is a difficult field in which Atletico aim to ensure a little more than the Champions. "I think they will try to take revenge for the cup gamewhen we knocked tham out of the competition. They are three very important points for us to fight for second place" he said.
Fighting for second place with Real Madrid has become one of the objectives as Atletico have almost mathematics qualified for the Champions League. "First we have to get the three points and go game by game. Qualifying for the Champions League is not mathematically secure yet. Then you need to try to get to second place as the higher we finish, the better it will be for the club, for us and for the coaching staff. We fight every day to get the three points, its is the most important thing right now."
Finally, the Argentine assessed the difference between Sporting Lisbon, his former club, and Atletico Madrid. "These are extremely similar. Both are great in their countries. There are a lot more dimension to what happens. The team is growing in recent years and the truth is we are demonstrating that with the results. As I said, I'm very happy and proud to be here. It's where I wanted to be and I have to enjoy it fully."
